The Directors
John Joseph Byrne, (Non-Executive Chairman and Audit and Remuneration Committee Member) aged 58
John Byrne has over 30 years’ experience in the natural resources industry as an investor and resource business developer. Mr Byrne is also Executive Chairman of Cambrian Mining Plc and is Non-Executive Chairman of Western Canadian Coal Corp, which is listed on AIM and the TSX (Canada). Mr Byrne holds directorships with a number of other public and private companies.
William Durand Eppler, (Chief Executive Officer) aged 53
W. Durand (Randy) Eppler is Managing Partner of Sierra Partners, LLC, a mining investment and advisory firm and a director of Vista Gold Corporation, Allied Nevada Gold Corporation and Augusta Resource Corporation. Mr. Eppler also serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of NEMI: Northern Energy & Mining Inc. Prior to establishing Sierra, Mr Eppler was Vice President of Newmont Mining Corporation from 1995–2004, following a twenty-year career in commercial and investment banking, focused on the minerals industries.
John Joseph Conlon, (Non-Executive Director and Audit and Remuneration Committee Member) aged 68
John Conlon has been involved in the mining industry since 1972, when he formed Webcon Equipment Inc, a company that supplies milling and mobile equipment worldwide. In 1980 he purchased a part share in Graham Mining, a mining contracting company involved in mine development in northern Canada. In 1995 he formed Driftech Inc, a company engaged in the business of repairs and manufacturing mining equipment. Mr Conlon is a director of several companies including Western Canadian Coal Corporation and Cambrian Mining Plc.
Operational Management
Dan Stickel is the President of the US operating subsidiary Atlantic Development Capital LLC. Mr Stickel is an experienced coal executive with a 28 year career in coal mine engineering, operations and mine administration, having worked with US Steel Mining, Arch Coal Company, and Drummond Company amongst others. Mr Stickel is a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Mining Engineering.
