Coal International Plc is an Aim-Listed coal mining and investment company. Admitted to the AIM exchange in April 2005, the company has grown through the acquisition of coal properties which it has placed into operation and through investments in other coal producers. All the Company’s operating properties are located in West Virginia, USA in the Central Appalachian coal region.

Why

Relative to other fossil fuels, coal supply is plentiful and geographically dispersed with recoverable reserves in around 70 countries
Coal is used to produce over two thirds of the world's power and approximately 70% of the world's steel
High demand for coal coupled with supply side constraints have led to recent price increases in the metallurgical and thermal coal markets
